As they are working so very hard to get rid of the CHRISTMAS part of this holiday, we should all send them a nice, CHRISTIAN card to brighten up their dark, sad, little world..

For those of you who aren’t aware of them, the ACLU, (the American Civil Liberties Union) is the one suing the U.S. Government to take God, Christmas or anything Christian away from us. They represent the atheists and others in this war. Help put Christ back in Christmas!

Join in demanding that the full democratic process be followed – not under the table tricks to squelch debate. This topic is too important to be steamrolled over the American People. It demands tru bi-partisan support, not what amounts to one party rule – communist style.

Although Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has refused to allow you or even his fellow Senators to see his version of the health care bill, he has vowed to force the Senate to take it’s first vote before the Thanksgiving recess.

That vote will be on a Motion to Proceed on the bill. THIS MOTION REQUIRES 60 VOTES AND IF IT FAILS OBAMACARE IS DEAD IN THE SENATE. Under Senate rules, the earliest this vote can take place is Friday. Reid has even threatened to keep the Senate in over the weekend and into Thanksgiving week until he has the votes he needs. Now is the time to act. We are asking every opponent of government-run health care to call their Senators on WEDNESDAY and ask them to vote “NO” on the Motion to Proceed.

Here’s the Liberal strategy to pass this bill: to get the 60 votes to move to the bill, Reid has instructed Democrats to say that this first vote is a procedural vote – but in reality its passage would give Reid the power to cut backroom deals – much more than just procedure.

If this Motion to Proceed on Obamacare passes then Reid will cut backroom deals and add amendments to the bill until he gets the votes to pass Obamacare completely through the Senate. Then when the bill is merged with the House-passed bill, they can change the bill yet again.

Just a few weeks ago, 13 Democrats revolted against a bill to add $250 billion to the deficit by eliminating a reduction in physician reimbursement in Medicare without paying for it. They defeated the bill by voting against the Motion to Proceed. For these same Senators to now say this is not the most important vote is the height of hypocrisy.

The time to act is now! You must contact your Senators and let them know a vote on the Motion to Proceed is a vote in favor of the government takeover of our health-care system.

Call Your Senators Today and ask them to vote “NO” on the Motion to Proceed

Even though as of Tuesday afternoon, Reid has not released the text of the bill, we know it will include a government-run health plan, increased taxes, cuts in Medicare and nothing to reduce ever-increasing health care costs. In fact, the Center for Medicare Services run by the Obama administration now says the Midnight bill passed by the House on November 7 will indeed cut benefits and raise premiums. It’s no wonder Reid is hiding his version of the bill until the last minute.

Even if Reid gets his way and gets every one of the 60 Democrats to vote for the Motion to Proceed, we will join the battle over amendments and against a second cloture vote to cut off debate. All this will be unnecessary if we can stop the bill now.

JOIN TENS OF THOUSANDS OF OPPONENTS OF OBAMACARE ACROSS THE COUNTRY WEDNESDAY AND CALL YOUR SENATORS TO ASK FOR A “NO” VOTE ON THE MOTION TO PROCEED TO THE HARRY REID HEALTH CARE BILL.

Hamilton Vote Could Be Monday 11/16

2. Call the 17 Senators listed below and ask them to vote AGAINST the confirmation of Judge David Hamilton.

Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said in a floor statement Monday that he will likely file a procedural motion to clear the nomination of David Hamilton, an Indiana native nominated to serve on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. You may remember Hamilton as the Judge who ruled it’s illegal to pray “in Jesus name” but totally legal to pray to Allah on the floor of the Indiana Legislature. His foolish ruling in Hinrichs v. Bosma was overturned (thanks in part to our legal aid to the Indiana Attorney General). He also ruled to hasten the abortion of unborn children, but that bad ruling was also overturned. Now Obama wants to reward Hamilton’s anti-life anti-Jesus prejudice with promotion to the same appeals court that overruled him.

Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) wrote a letter to all Republicans on 30 Oct, asking for help in opposing Hamilton, who the Seventh Circuit Court rebuked for repeatedly “abusing his discretion,” and for a speech Hamilton gave saying the judge’s primary job is “write footnotes in the Constitution” for his own activist causes.

To stop Hamilton, we need 40 strong Senate votes to stand with Senator Inhofe, to uphold his filibuster. If we fail, Hamilton will be promoted to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, the same court that overruled his aggressive, anti-life, anti-liberty decisions for years. So we’ve identified 17 key undecided Senators, from which we need just 7 votes to successfully defeat Hamilton’s nomination, (see list below).

We have carefully identified 17 undecided Senators, who should especially receive your phone calls in the coming days.

Judge Hamilton is the worst of Obama’s 15 new liberal appeals court appointees. The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals covers Wisconsin, Indiana and Illinois. Since most cases never reach the Supreme Court, the federal appellate circuits often provide the last word on cases affecting life and liberty.

READ THE FACTS:

The Judicial Confirmation Network quickly opposed Hamilton’s nomination, stating that “President Obama’s first nominee to the federal appeals courts — specifically the appeals court based in Chicago — is an ultra-liberal named David Hamilton who is a former fundraiser for ACORN and former leader of the Indiana chapter of the ACLU. He was nominated to the district court bench by President Clinton even though he had no judicial experience and was rated as ‘not qualified’ by the American Bar Association.”

Now newly promoted Judiciary Committee ranking minority Member Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL), agrees with pro-faith Senator James Inhofe (R-OK), that we should oppose and filibuster Hamilton’s nomination to the 7th Circuit. Thanks in part to our public pressure, the Republicans and Sessions have twice succeeded in delaying Hamilton’s committee votes, saying “This a complex area of the law, I’ll admit, but it’s time for the federal court to get their heads straight on proper separation of church and state issues.”

ANTI-LIFE BUT PRO-ABORTION?

In 2003, Judge Hamilton struck down part of an Indiana law on abortion. The reasonable law had required abortion clinics to simply give women information about alternatives to abortion in the presence of a physician or nurse, 18 hours before the procedure, until Hamilton ruled to hasten abortions. But thank God, the 7th Circuit Court also reversed Hamilton’s bad decision in that case.

If confirmed now Hamilton will sit on that 7th Circuit Court (the same court that frequently overruled him) with tyrannical power to rule the heartland of Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin with his anti-life, anti-liberty, anti-Christian agenda.

“Make a House Call on Congress on November 5th and Stop the Government Take Over of Health Care!”

Democrat leadership in the House wants to pass a government run health care bill before Veteran’s Day, and it’s up to us to make sure this prescription for socialized medicine doesn’t pass.

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has issued a call for action for the American public to look their congresscritters (my word) in the eye and let them know the takeover of our health care system is NOT an option!

She points out that the government has now taken over 30% of our nation’s wealth producing industries. With the passage of ObamaCare a further 18% would be under the control of government bureaucrats – nearly half of all the wealth created in the USA!

Rep. Bachmann urges all Americans to contact their elected officials by phone, fax, or email if they cannot make a face-to-face plea for sanity. On Thursday, November 5th, she will be hosting a press conference and get together on the capitol steps and then lead everyone inside to meet directly with their representatives.

Make a House Call on Congress on November 5th and Stop the Government Take Over of Health Care!

Remember, this plan for socialized medicine is NOT inevitable! It can be STOPPED! Just as Gen. Washington’s war weary troops pushed on once again crossing the Delaware River and defeating the enemy at Trenton, so too can we go forth once again.

National Emergency Powers

Federal law provides a variety of powers for the President to use in response to crisis, exigency, or emergency circumstances threatening the nation. Moreover, they are not limited to military or war situations. Some of these authorities, deriving from the Constitution or statutory law, are continuously available to the President with little or no qualification. Others—statutory delegations from Congress—exist on a standby basis and remain dormant until the President formally declares a national emergency. These delegations or grants of power authorize the President to meet the problems of governing effectively in times of crisis. Under the powers delegated by such statutes, the President may seize property, organize and control the means of production, seize commodities, assign military forces abroad, institute martial law, seize and control all transportation and communication, regulate the operation of private enterprise, restrict travel and, in a variety of ways, control the lives of United States citizens. Furthermore, Congress may modify, rescind, or render dormant such delegated emergency authority.

Thursday, Oct. 22, the FCC will be holding a meeting that will effectively put an end to our First Amendment Rights as we know them! The meeting involves the takeover, by our government, of the Internet. Most people are unaware of this meeting–apparently a well-guarded “secret” of the government.

We must fight against this takeover as hard as we can, in any way we can!
