A Request to all Followers of CIA Alert Twitters…

The members of Citizens in Action (CIA) are honored that you have chosen to follow us on Twitter! We appreciate the interest you’ve taken in our Twitter feed! HOWEVER:

Citizens in Action uses Twitter to broadcast important Action Alerts to the public concerning the political arena.
The Tweets we post appear in an Action Alert widget on our site and many other sites in order to make thousands of people aware of important issues requiring action–emailing, calling, faxing, etc.–their representatives.

Due to our growing list of followers, though, our Action Alerts are getting buried by your Tweets that are appearing in our Action Alert Center! We are concerned that many important Action Alerts will go unnoticed and not acted upon.

We want to ensure that important Action Alerts are seen by our members and followers, so we are requesting that you remove (or do not add) the Citizens In Action “hash tag” #CIANET from future Tweets that you post.

We are working on a better solution to this problem, but until we find one, we are asking our Twitter followers to comply with this request and not use our “hash tag” when posting their own Tweets.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter!
